Representing the University of Melbourne as part of the Australian team, the two week International Design and Construction competition at Tongji University, China called for proposals for a community pavilion using corrugated polypropylene sheeting and cable ties.
The ribbed components are lined with cable tie fixings which provide a gentle tickle as occupants move through. The ‘site’ of interaction is transferred from the architectural form to the user’s own body.
